Roof Terms of Service
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Leverage the Struggle, LLC ("Roof & Root," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Roof & Root mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service does
Roof & Root helps you organize information about your household — your home, vehicles, family, pets, belongings, documents, maintenance tasks, and related reminders — and offers optional AI features that help you capture and understand that information. Features may change over time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to create an account and use the Service.
4. Your account and household
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you create or join a household, you understand that household members you invite or join will be able to view and edit the shared household content. Choose who you share a household with carefully.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Roof & Root offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription ("Roof & Root Plus").
- Pricing: Plus is offered at $39.99/year or $12.99/month, or as otherwise shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- Billing: Subscriptions are purchased and billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, subject to that store's terms.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the term ends. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current term ends.
- Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Payments are handled by Apple or Google and are generally non-refundable except as required by law or that store's policies.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices; changes apply to future billing periods and we will provide notice as required.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the information, photos, and documents you add to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your household. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to add it.
7. AI features
The Service offers optional AI-powered features. AI-generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are provided for convenience only, and you should independently verify any important information before relying on it. AI features are not a substitute for professional judgment.
8. No professional advice
Roof & Root provides informational tools only. Maintenance schedules, replacement-cost estimates, warranty and insurance tracking, home and vehicle information, and AI answers are for general informational purposes only and are not legal, financial, insurance, tax, safety, medical, or other professional advice. Always confirm important decisions with a qualified professional and with the original manufacturer, provider, or governing documents.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; upload content you don't have the right to upload; attempt to access other users' data; interfere with or disrupt the Service; reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service; or misuse the AI features.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION (INCLUDING AI RESULTS) WILL BE ACCURATE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS OF IMPORTANT DATA.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEVERAGE THE STRUGGLE, LLC AND ITS OWNERS AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Leverage the Struggle, LLC and its owners and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6–12 and 14) will survive.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY], California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
